Jim Pinckney has a personal copy of the DNR publications on bird feeders, bird houses, and duck boxes, as well as a booklet with instructions for bat houses. Bats are a much maligned creature that will provide tremendous insect control if you are lucky enough to entice them to a bat house. It’s a challenge to get them started, but once they get started a bat house will provide shelter for large colonies.
