Kawishawi Watershed Protection Project

A partnership of the White Iron Chain of Lake Association (WICOLA) and Lake County received a Clean Water Partnership Grant in 2011 for a 30 month study of water resources in the watershed. The Kawishiwi Watershed Protection Project (KWPP) was a joint effort of WICOLA, Lake County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD), and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) to collect data to help these partners create a comprehensive management plan to restore and maintain a healthy watershed.
